	FOZ Products Introduces Rock Guard for Welter-Weight Racing Cars. Cincinnati, Ohio, June 15, 2003—FOZ Products recently introduced a new rock guard for welter-weight racing cars including mini-sprints, modified midgets, TQs, micro-sprints and even full-size midgets. The FOZ Products rock guard measures 23-1/2” wide by 9” high, providing a better fit for the narrower roll cages found on most open wheel, welter-weight racing cars. “A rock guard is an important part of safety equipment that is
often overlooked. Not only does it protect the driver from rocks and dirt, but it also provides protection from debris that might fall off of another car like weights, a muffler or a battery”, explained Speed Partz’s, Larry Fasse. “Although it is easy to find rock guards for the wider roll cages found on a full-size sprint car, it is virtually impossible to find a rock guard that fits the narrower cages found on most mini-sprints, modified midgets and tqs”, Fasse explained. The FOZ Products rock guard has been designed for easy fitment to any roll cage. The guard features a wrap around design that makes it easy to tie-wrap or safety wire to the roll cage. The addition of a bar in the middle of the last grid, allows the guard to be easily fitted to roll cages that are narrower than 23.5”. “We did as much research as possible and found that most roll cages are somewhere in the neighborhood of 21” – 23-1/2” wide. We’ve made it easy to attach this rock guard to anything in that range”, commented Fasse. A top hoop keeps the rock guard from sliding down and can also be easily tie-wrapped to the top tube of the roll-cage. The grid pattern for the rock guard is 1-1/2” square to maximize its ability to protect without sacrificing visibility. The entire rock guard has been coated in a black rubberized finish.
