Here's one of the neatest little tools
we've added to our line-up since the SmartTool
digital levels. This infrared
pyrometer allows you to quickly obtain surface temperatures by
simply pointing at the desired location and pulling the
trigger--delivering an instant digital read-out of the temperature
either in Farenheit or Celcius.
We began using our pyrometer to record
tire temperatures as we came off the track, but soon found several
additional uses for it. It is great for determining cylinder
temperatures to see if a cylinder is dead, or maybe just to rich or
lean. It is also good for checking the temperature of the
exhaust system. We've also checked the temperature of the track,
the driver's compartment and more. If you can point the laser
beam at it and pull the trigger, you can record the surface
temperature--it really is that easy.
This pyrometer features a laser beam
allows you to easily see the exact point you where you are measuring
the temperature. It also comes with a handy plastic protective
case that houses your pyrometer when not in use. This is a great
addition to your tool box ideal for mini sprints, modified midgets,
sprints, midgets, stock cars, dwarf cars, e-mods and more.
