New Battery - Helps
your race car shed pounds!

Weighs just 2.4lbs and measures 4.25 x
3.75 x 2.75 inches
Putting your race car on a diet just got
easier thanks to the introduction of the new Anti-Gravity Battery.
Developed by former motorcycle racer and current track day enthusiast
Scott Schafer, the battery was designed to be the smallest, most
powerful, lightweight and durable battery on the market. In the
relatively short time since its introduction the battery has found
wide spread acceptance among motorcycle racers in many different
disciplines including road racing, supermoto and even street riders.
The batteries are even currently being used in the AMA Supercross
series by the factory support KTM SX team.
The battery’s on track success has led to the investigation of new
applications. A natural choice seemed to be the motorcycle powered
race car market that includes mini sprints, modified midgets, micro
sprints, dwarf cars and modified lites. Working with Speed Partz, a
battery was recently placed in a car running at the Tulsa Shootout for
testing. During the three days of racing the battery performed
flawlessly. Speed Partz Larry Fasse commented, “I think these
batteries are going to be very popular. I’ve watched folks spend a lot
of money just to save a few pounds. Here is a chance to shave up to 13
pounds off the weight of a car for a pretty reasonable price.”

The battery is more powerful, much lighter and has a much smaller
footprint than traditional lead/acid batteries.
The technology behind AntiGravity is the Lithium battery and most
specifically a technology called Lifepo4 in the Cylindrical format.
This not only provides for a much lighter product, but also has the
highest cranking amps of any lithium cell available while maintaining
the smallest size of any batteries available. The battery does not
require maintenance or trickle charging, it is much safer than a lead
acid battery due to the fact that it is made with non-toxic materials,
has no liquids inside to leak out in the event of an accident. It is
actually considered safe for the environment. As it commonly happens,
necessity is the mother of invention. Schafer didn’t set out to
produce a battery, but after trying some of the other Lithium battery
applications on the market with less than positive results was forced
to come up with his own solution. Scott commented, “I tried to work
with a few of the manufacturers and even spent time letting them know
exactly what we believe was required for the market, they didn’t seem
to be interested in producing the best product possible.”

The battery is so small and light that it can be tucked away just
about anywhere on the car.
Tapping into a Battery Engineer's extensive knowledge and extensive
testing and use of the Lifepo4 cells, Scott went to work building his
own battery. Requirements around building a battery that was
lightweight, extremely compact, yet powerful and capable of standing
up to the vibrations experienced in racing made sourcing and
manufacture difficult. As a result of his diligence Scott is proud to
now have a product that is of the highest quality that delivers
unparalleled performance compared to anything on the market. “The
materials utilized in our battery are not from the cheapest suppliers,
but instead from those that deliver the highest quality and
reliability. Our batteries are also manufactured to much higher
standards than the competition including deeper welds, thicker battery
tabs, and a tighter shrink wrapping of the cells and sufficient,
proper placement of insulating materials to ensure the batteries fit
for racing applications. Additionally the battery comes with one of
the best warranties on the market. For one year after the purchase of
the battery, as long as it has not been opened or modified, it has a
complete limited warranty. If there is a problem the battery is either
replaced with a new one or repaired.
Benefits
Reduce Weight – The Anti-Gravity Battery reduces weight
by up to 80% over the sealed deep cycle batteries currently used in
many motorcycle powered racing cars. For example the Odyssey 680
weighs in at over 13 lbs, whereas the Anti-Gravity Battery AG 6900
weighs in at just 2.2lbs. An 11pound savings.
Smaller Footprint – In addition to being lighter, the
Anti-Gravity Battery also has a much smaller footprint than
traditional batteries. The Antigravity is battery is actually half the
size of the Odyssey 680. It is 3" shorter in legnth, 3" shorter in
height and 1/2" less wide..... This provides for much greater
flexibility when selecting a mounting location. The Anti-Gravity
Battery can even be mounted on your race cars firewall.
Safety – The Anti-Gravity Battery is a special type of
Lithium Battery. This means there is no dangerous acids to leak or
spill in the event of an accident. Additionally the use of Lifepo4
technology means that the battery is not susceptible to overheating
and exploding as occasionally occurs with Lithium computer batteries.
Cranking Amps – The Anti-Gravity Battery delivers more
cranking amps than a comparable lead acid battery.
Cost – The Anti-Gravity Battery is much less expensive than other high
end batteries like the Braille, yet capable of providing comparable
performance.
Quality – Designed specifically as a motorsports
battery, Anti-Gravity Batteries are manufactured to much higher
standards to stand up to the rigors of racing.
Anti Gravity Batteries are currently being offered at an
introductory
price of $229.95 by Speed Partz LLC and are available for online
